How is the National Parkinson Foundation Minnesota funded?
The National Parkinson Foundation Minnesota is entirely funded by contributions from fundraising events, donations, memorials, and bequests. We raise funds at multiple events throughout the year. Check the Events calendar for details on our Parkinson’s-friendly events and to find classes or seminars that may be of interest to you. Our events this year include:
- 2/8: Breakfast for Parkinson’s- Metropolitan Ballroom
- 3/15: Art of Parkinson’s- Galleria
- 4/18: Evening Out- MN Valley Country Club
- 5/4: Moving Day Twin Cities, walk for Parkinson’s disease
- 6/19: Imperfect Jumps- Skydive Twin Cities
- 6/27: Evening Out- Mendakota Country Club
- 7/22: Golf Tournament- MN Valley Country Club
- 8/18: PD Day at Target Field
- 10/20: Dance for Parkinson’s, bust a move, break a record- Dancer’s Studio
NPFM is a 501(c)3 non-profit. All donations are tax deductible.
How are the funds used?
All local funds are used for outreach, education, support, and respite care for the Parkinson community in Minnesota and surrounding states. NPFM funds Park Nicollet Struthers Parkinson’s Center, the Capistrant Center for Parkinson’s disease, and other organizations with trained professionals to deliver outreach, education, and support group leadership training. NPFM funds families needs directly through the Respite Care Grant program.
